When it was launched, the Blackout from Kershaw, equipped with SpeedSafe system, left a lasting impression on the knife industry. At the Blade Show, one of the largest knife trade shows in the world, this folding knife actually made it onto the Best Buy list of the American trade publication Blade Magazine. Since its introduction, the Blackout has enjoyed an ever-growing, diverse following - appreciated by police officers who always take it with them on patrol, as well as outdoor enthusiasts who have made it their favorite companion, or simply by anyone who likes to have a generously sized knife with them in everyday life.

With its classic drop-point blade made of 14C28N high-performance steel, the Blackout is perfect for a whole range of tasks. The stainless steel used here, which was developed in collaboration between Kershaw and Sandvik Steel, features excellent corrosion resistance, hardness and edge retention. To further enhance this efficiency, Kershaw has given the blade of this pocket knife a black, scratch-resistant DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. If you prefer a serrated blade, the partial serrated model presented here is the perfect choice.

You will also like the ergonomically designed handle of the Blackout knife, which is comfortable and easy to grip, ensuring optimal cutting control at all times. The handle material is glass-fiber reinforced nylon, which proves sheer durability in everyday use. And of course, the Blackout is equipped with the SpeedSafe opening mechanism - so the blade is ready to use in no time and with no effort. Simply slide the thumb stud forward and the blade extends from the handle and locks securely into working position. A liner lock keeps the blade securely locked in place when open and smoothly closes the knife when you're done.
