Kershaw and Rick Hinderer have teamed up to create the Kershaw Ember, a stylish pocket knife smaller format.

What will strike you first with the Ember is of course its size. The blade is just 5 inches long, and when closed, the knife offers a compact size of about 7 inches. The next thing that will catch your eye is its striking appearance. Nooks and crannies, contours, a matte gray coating and black hardware give the knife a tactical look and feel that will delight knife users.

The Ember is equipped with the SpeedSafe® opening mechanism and opens effortlessly via the convenient integrated flipper. The spine of the modified clip-point blade features an ergonomic trough that serves as a convenient finger rest when fine work requires precise, controlled guidance of the cutting edge. A sturdy frame lock keeps the blade securely locked in place during use.

The blade has been heat treated strictly to Kershaw's exacting criteria to bring out the best in the steel. A titanium carbonitride coating on the blade and handle provides a matte gray finish. Black hardware, including a 3-position pocket clip, adds the finishing touch to the look of this little knife.

The Ember by Kershaw and Rick Hinderer can be carried loosely in any type of pocket, briefcase or backpack, but still has plenty of style for a knife of this size.
