Originally, this Blüchersaber is based on an English saber from 1796.

The naming of the saber M 1811 , colloquially also called Blüchersäbel comes from the Field Marshal General Gerhard Leberecht von Blücher. He is probably the most popular commander of the German wars of liberation against Napoleon.

The blade of this replica, modeled after the special and famous saber, is a carbon steel forged, carefully ground and polished. The blade is unsharpened.
