Houndskull bascinet from approx. 1390, made of 2 mm thick steel - battle ready

This houndskull bascinet is a reproduction based on a helmet made in Milan around 1390 AD, which is part of the armour from Churburg, Tyrol. Until about 1420 this helmet form was preferred among noble knights and warriors and was spread all over Europe.

It was handmade from 2mm thick steel, welded and riveted. Due to its robustness it guarantees good protection for show fighting.
The helmet has a upwards foldable visor, which is closed by a hinge with pin. The visor can be removed simply by pulling out the pin.
At the lower edge of the helmet were attached rivets made of brass, to which one can simply attach an own chain-bronze.
Furthermore it has a comfortable, padded cloth inlay.
