With this type of medieval shoe, we have paid particular attention to the accuracy of the reproduction of medieval footwear.
As was customary in the Middle Ages, the shoe was reverse-stitched.
The seams in the upper leather were implemented as butt seams with flesh-edge stitches so that no seams are visible on the outside.
The leather has a natural brown/beige color. The leather can be dyed as described below.
This shoe is rounded off with a sewn-in welt in the heel area. Here, the sole can be doubled or patched by means of a sewn-on piece of leather, which ensures longer durability.
Finds of these shoes can be found in many museums. Similar shoes have also been found in earlier times. This type of shoe can also be found in the work “Shoes and Patterns” by Francis Grew and Margarethe de Neergaard, where it is dated to 1100-1450.

regarding size:
This model fits well if you just pick your regular shoe size. If you tend to need a half size we recommend to pick the smaller size as the leather stretches with useage.
regarding color:
These shoe model comes ungreased and undyed. This means you can dye and grease or just grease the shoes. Grease nurtures and protects the leather. Therefore we highly recommend greasing these shoes regularly.
