Roman belt buckle, Mainz pattern
This Roman belt buckle is made after an original piece of the 1st century AD, which comes from the Mainz area. The original artifact belonged to the cingulum of a Roman legionary.
The buckle is cast from brass and has an antique finish for appearance. It is approximately 2 mm (0.08 inches) thick and the strap plate is approximately 1 mm (0.04 inches) thick. The belt plate is intentionally not pre-punched so that it can be attached as you like.
