These admirable medieval shoes were made with a close eye on authentic manufacturing. They are almost indistinguishable from a reversible shoe, but are much more stable in construction.
As in the High and Late Middle Ages, the shoes are made entirely of genuine leather and are extremely sturdy.
The sole was made of thick leather using the nail-through method. This makes them more robust than reversible shoes, as the sole does not wear out as quickly.
Finds of these medieval shoes can be found in many museums. Similar shoe finds can also be found from earlier times. This type of shoe can also be found in the work "Shoes and Patterns" by Francis Grew and Margarethe de Neergaard, where it is dated between 1100 and 1450.
-Medieval shoes made of genuine leather
-Thick sole made by the nailing through method
-Untreated and ungreased leather, can be dyed as desired
-Suitable for the representation of the High Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages

If you wear the shoes with an inlay sole and thick socks, you can choose just your foot size and it should fit. If you don't use inlay soles or thick socks, then please take them a size smaller so they won't be too big.
These shoe model comes ungreased and undyed. This means you can dye and grease or just grease the shoes. Grease nurtures and protects the leather. Therefore we highly recommend greasing these shoes regularly.
