Viking brooch (or also called shell brooch and turtle brooch) after an original from Birka

This beautiful humpback brooch is based on an original piece from Birka, Sweden. They are also Fibulae or tortoise brooches. They were worn in pairs by Viking women on the shoulders of the apron or dress.
On the shell brooch there are 4 horse heads, which decorate the jewelry. On the back a stable needle was attached.
