Pendant silver plated "Vendel"
Â
During the Vendel period, just before the Viking Age, depictions of birds became popular in Germanic regions. This beautiful amulet style is a reflection of that era that can still be seen today. The raven amulet is a symbol of the two ravens that accompanied the ancient Germanic god Odin on his ways. This piece of jewelry serves as a reminder of the father of all gods.
The expressive chain pendant is inspired by a bird charm from the Vendel period, which was discovered in pairs around 600 AD on the Swedish island of Gotland. Today, at Stockholm's Statens Historiska Museum, you can admire the original fittings from times gone by.
