Plate button made of pewter

In the late High Middle Ages or early Late Middle Ages, the button with buttonhole was invented to work them on garments. Due to its rapid spread in Europe until the 14th century, the button became a trend and thus contributed to the emergence of tighter clothing.

Our medieval button was made of pewter and has a round plate shape. The surface is slightly curved inward and smooth, giving the button a classy look. An eyelet has been incorporated on the back so that it can be sewn onto garments. In addition to sewing, it is also suitable for crafting.
