Large pewter button, shield shape
During the late High Middle Ages and early Late Middle Ages, the button with buttonhole was developed to be able to attach it to clothing, in turn, to close it well. As the button quickly spread throughout Europe and became a trend by the 14th century, it contributed to the creation of tighter clothing.
Our large button was crafted from pewter and has a round shape reminiscent of a shield. The surface has rough decorations, which are curved outwards, making it look more lively. The back is smooth and an eyelet has been incorporated in the center so that it can be sewn onto garments. In addition to sewing, it is also suitable for crafting.

The products meet the requirements for migration of elements according to the EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021 standard and comply with the limits for nickel content. Lead content below 0.5% (normally 0.02 - 0.1%).
