Description
Pewter heart button
In ancient times, there were buttons that were used only for decoration and had no buttonhole or loop. It was not until the 13th century that buttons with buttonholes were developed in Germany to be attached to garments. This innovative method spread rapidly throughout Europe by the 14th century, contributing to the creation of close-fitting clothing.
This pewter heart-shaped button has finer decorations on the surface, while the back is smooth. An eyelet has been incorporated at the back so that it can be attached to garments. But it is also well suited for craft projects or decorative work.
