Pearl pendant glass ball bronze "Gotland"

Rock crystal pendants are a remarkable testimony of Viking Age jewelry design. So far they are known only from the Swedish island of Gotland. These treasures, some of which were found with silver settings and precious beads, give an insight into the artistry of their era.

Our beaded pendant glass ball is a replica of a Viking Age pendant from Gotland/Sweden from the 11th century, which has the shape of a small, spherical rock crystal. The original of this Viking Age pendant was discovered in Domerarve / Öja on Gotland and is now on display at the Statens Historiska Museum in Stockholm.

Instead of the original model made of rock crystal, our Gotland ball is made of glass and the setting is made of bronze.
