Description
This great knife is designed as a multipurpose knife for hunting and for classic bushcraft tasks or general use in the great outdoors. The blade is approximately 10 cm (3.94 in) long and made of approximately 4.0 mm (0.16 in) thick Sleipner stainless steel, a Swedish knife steel that has been heat treated and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 59-60 HRC. This razor sharp blade features a Scandi grind and a satin finish. The combination of steel and grind results in a knife that is very strong, yet has great sharpenability and can be easily resharpened.
The handle is made of burl birch. The wood has been treated with a traditional Scandinavian linseed oil based varnish. Black liners have been installed between the handle scales and the steel to increase the life of the knife.
The knife is supplied with a durable, welted sheath made of 3 mm (0.12 in) thick vegetable tanned full cowhide in cognac brown. The sheath has an extra wide belt loop, a drain hole and an eyelet to accommodate a lanyard.
