Beard axe for the early medieval reenactment

Characteristic for this type of axe is the downward shaped axe beard with a long blade. This allowed this axe to be used in a wide variety of ways and could also be used for hooking to drag away a shield, for example.

The axe is delivered minimally sharpened.
The axe blade is blackened, giving it a particularly rustic look.

Attention: the handle was made of wood. However, this can break like any other wood during use. A broken axe handle is not a reason for complaint but a wearing part. We recommend for intensive use the Aufstielung with ash wood.
