Description
The Lene medieval dress is a sleeveless strappy dress made from sturdy 100% cotton twill, dating from the High and Late Middle Ages. The bodice is cut to fit close to the body and features a placket with wooden buttons down the centre front. A back lacing allows for a personalised fit and gives the dress a bodice-like appearance – both practical and visually appealing.
The attached skirt section is gathered at the waist and emphasises the feminine figure. Side pockets are incorporated on both sides at hip height, offering practical storage space. The total length for size M is approx. 142 cm (measured from the highest point of the shoulder). The dress is ideal as the basis for an authentic costume for a maid, peasant woman or pirate – when combined with a long-sleeved slip, it can also be worn on cooler days.
The dress is part of the Battle-Merchant collection for historical attire and has been planned, designed and handcrafted with particular attention to detail. Its design, based on historical models, archaeological finds and museum pieces, makes this dress an authentic choice for medieval markets, LARP events and costume parties. Care instructions: Machine wash at 40 °C on a gentle cycle; do not tumble dry. Please note: Only the sleeveless dress is included. Underdresses and other accessories are available separately.
