Gladiators Bracers/Manica, Leather

Manica were part of the standard equipment of Roman gladiators. These armor sleeves made of strong leather are documented on countless contemporary illustrations. The protection covered the whole arm, from the shoulder to the hand. This is the origin of the Latin name Manica, which means 'long sleeve'. This manica is a reconstruction, very robustly made and therefore perfectly suitable for the representation of a Galdiator. It is closed with a strap.
