Description

LARP Pickaxe 52 cm – Padded Weapon

The LARP Pickaxe represents all those characters whose story does not begin in the first rush of battle, but where endurance, experience, and craftsmanship determine everyday life. It looks like a familiar tool that has been used for years – reliable, simple, and without unnecessary pomp. This is precisely what gives roles such as miners, dwarves, or traveling craftsmen a credible depth and a calm, down-to-earth presence.
With a total length of about 52 cm (20.5 inches) and a weight of around 400 g (0.88 lbs), the pickaxe feels comfortably balanced in the hand. It conveys stability without seeming heavy or unwieldy, allowing for natural play in which movements can be executed calmly and with control. The shape is deliberately based on classic pickaxes, as used in mining for centuries, and thus fits effortlessly into both historical and fantasy costumes.
Made of high-quality polyurethane foam and reinforced with a sturdy fiberglass core, it meets the safety requirements of modern LARP equipment. The pickaxe head has a dark, blackened steel look and gives the impression of a well-used, proven tool. The shaft has a realistic wood look with a fine grain, which further emphasizes its simple and functional character.
The pickaxe is not only suitable for LARP scenarios, but also as an atmospheric prop for theater, cosplay, or reenactment. It is particularly well suited to characters whose strengths lie in patience, skill, and perseverance—characters who tell their story not with grand words, but with deeds.
To maintain the life of the pickaxe, regular care with silicone spray is recommended. Direct sunlight should be avoided and dirt should be removed promptly with water to ensure that the surface and material remain protected in the long term.
