Description
Roman caligae after finds in Castleford and Valkenburg
These high-quality Roman sandals are based on finds from Castleford (Great Britain) and Valkenburg (Netherlands). Caligae were the marching shoes of Roman soldiers.
The shoes are of first-class workmanship and made of vegetable-tanned leather. They have the typical Roman 7 mm (0.28 in) long steel sole nails.
All vegetable-tanned leather shoes should be oiled or waxed on the outside before use and as required so that the leather remains supple and does not crack.

- Material: approx. 2 mm (0.08 in) thick vegetable-tanned cowhide
- Nailed leather sole with authentic sole nails
