Viking Dress – Heavy wool overdress in mottled blue
The Viking Dress is an expressive overdress for authentic Viking or early medieval style clothing. It combines a simple, historical basic shape with carefully crafted details and high-quality materials. The heavy, fulled wool fabric makes the dress particularly suitable for cooler days in camp life and at medieval markets.
The dress is made from a blue mottled wool blend that is not only robust but also comfortable to wear. The floor-length cut and the gussets inserted at the sides ensure freedom of movement and a beautifully draping skirt. This means that despite its heavy material, the dress does not appear stiff, but lively and flowing.
The contrasting trimmings made of 100% wool in a diamond twill weave add a special touch. These are attached to the neckline, the sleeve hems, and the skirt hem, emphasizing the high-quality overall impression. The typical diamond pattern of the diamond twill is created by using light and dark brown wool, giving the dress a noticeably handcrafted character. The design is complemented by subtle embroidered decorative seams on the hem and sleeves.
