Wide-leg medieval children’s trousers ‘Thore’, Mi-Parti, brown/natural
These loose-fitting trousers feature a two-tone colour scheme (mi-parti), as was commonly worn in the Middle Ages. The voluminous fit is achieved through set-in cuffs at the hem. Side pockets are incorporated. The waistband of these trousers features an elasticated band and can also be adjusted with a drawstring to ensure a perfect fit.
Towards the end of the 16th century, the Mi-Parti was regarded solely as a jester’s accessory, which is still included in jesters’ costumes to this day.
