Description
1 Pair of Late Medieval Bracers of the 15th Century
These fascinating bracers are based on a 15th century find (ca. 1465). They were worn to protect the lower and upper arms, as well as the elbow. They are perfect for depicting a proud knight of the late Middle Ages and Renaissance.
They are made of 1.5 mm (0.06 in) thick steel and are blackened on the inside to protect them from corrosion as far as possible.
Consisting of a single-slide upper arm tube, a pointed elbow tile and a single-slide lower arm tube, which can be opened with hinges. These are connected internally by rivets and sturdy leather straps, providing the necessary mobility.
For attachment to shoulder armour or a gambeson, two holes have been made in the upper arm protection of the bracers. The holes make it easy to attach the bracers.
