Description
Medieval Hooded Cape – "Isen"
The Isen cape is a versatile medieval and LARP cape made from 100% cotton in a sturdy twill weave. Its heavy, drapey fabric and generous hood make it a distinctive garment for markets, camps and events. The piece-dyed finish gives the fabric a subtle worn look – making the cloak appear as though it has already endured many journeys and nights by the fire.
The cut is deliberately kept simple and functional: the cloak is pulled over the head and cannot be opened. The centre front is left open, so that the garment worn underneath remains visible – ideal for layered looks and striking outfit combinations. At the same time, your hands remain free at all times, making it particularly practical for everyday life in camp and for adventures on the market grounds.
Capes were part of the basic wardrobe throughout the Middle Ages – worn by nobility and common folk alike. They provided protection from the cold and rain and were widespread in countless variations, with and without hoods. The Isen cloak draws on this tradition and reinterprets it in a timelessly simple form, suitable for many character concepts: mercenaries, rangers, mages, archers, assassins or wanderers. Thanks to its unisex cut, it is equally suitable for men and women.
