Description

Leather belts were an indispensable accessory for both women and men in the Middle Ages. They gave the often loose-fitting garments a better fit and were, at the same time, a fashion statement. Our medieval long belt with an embossed Celtic knot design draws on this historical tradition and impresses with its high-quality craftsmanship and authentic design.

The belt is decorated along its entire length with an embossed Celtic knot and fastens with a brass-finished ring – the end of the belt is threaded through the ring and then tied in a knot. Measuring approximately 2.1 cm in width and 2.5 mm in thickness, it is slim and versatile, whether worn with a tunic, dress or costume at medieval fairs and LARP events.

The leather is vegetable-tanned – a traditional, more environmentally friendly tanning process that gives the leather a natural feel and durability. As leather is a natural product and is processed with a great deal of handcrafting, each belt may vary slightly in colour tones and surface texture – no two pieces are alike. This makes every belt a unique, one-of-a-kind item.
