Description
Pappenheimer 17th century basket rapier.
This rapier is modelled on an original of the 17th century and is constructed in the typical Pappenheimer style. The rapier owes its name "Pappenheimer" to Gottfried Heinrich (imperial general of the Thirty Years' War).
The rapier is made of a carbon steel blade, which is narrow and unsharpened. The blade is worked into the rapier.
The magnificent basket is made of steel and lined with red velvet. The handle is made of wood and wrapped with wire.
The included sword scabbard is made of leather-wrapped wood and features a steel mouth and place plate.
