14th century rondel dagger with leather sheath - suitable for show fighting!
In the 14th century, rondel daggers like this one were very popular among many groups of the population. They were worn by simple farmers and traders, as well as by lansquenets and knights. They were used as tools and weapons. They were usually worn on the hip.
It was made from a blade with a 21 cm (8.3 in) long hollow. The tip is rounded, which makes the dagger suitable for show fighting. The handle is made of wood and was hand carved.
