Sutton Hoo brass belt buckle, set

Sutton Hoo is an important archaeological site in England that offers immense insight into the Anglo-Saxon period. There are many burial mounds here, including the Ship's Grave, which yields a large number of well-preserved and valuable artifacts dating back to the 7th century.

When making this replica, great attention was paid to minute details in order to create an accurate imitation. Thus, the brass belt buckle is a copy of the original golden buckle from the British Museum in London, which was found in a boat grave. It consists of three parts: an elongated fitting plate resembling an egg shape, a spike with a round plate and finally a shackle. Both the mandrel plate and the stirrup can be moved independently.

The decorations, in the form of animal-like creatures, are a nice eye-catcher and run through all components of the belt buckle.

The belt buckle comes with decorative rivets and washers included.
