Description

Viking oval brooch from Saltvik

This beautiful oval brooch was made in great detail after an original found in Saltvik, Sweden and dated to the 9th century.
The brooches were worn by women on dresses or aprons in pairs left and right below the shoulders.

On the back of the brooch there is a sturdy needle (which can withstand heavier fabrics) and an eyelet to which a chain can be attached.
