Most Landsknecht costumes on the market are made from cotton canvas or shiny polyester – materials that look passable from a distance but fail to provide the necessary stiffness and the characteristic volume of the historical silhouette. The Yoremade Doublet is made from a heavy, brushed wool-blend fabric (71% wool, 29% nylon). The high wool content gives the doublet the necessary weight and a matt finish that looks authentic in any light. The nylon content ensures that the star-shaped slits remain sharp and do not fray, even after prolonged use. The fabric breathes in warm weather and keeps you warm in cooler temperatures – ideal for outdoor events.
