Description
Viking Age staff necklace with 4 links
This Viking staff necklace with four links is based on a historical find from Finland, whereby a similar necklace was also discovered in the Swedish Viking town of Birka. The stick chain has a total length of approx. 20 cm (7.87 inches), with each chain link being approx. 4.9 cm (1.93 inches) long and connected with rings approx. 0.3 cm (0.12 inches) in diameter. Additional chain links can easily be added for a longer chain.
We recommend a small jewelry hook (VM007212 or VM008351) for attaching to a brooch or pendant, which is also suitable for adding further chain links. The length of the chain is good for attaching to a bowl brooch, e.g. to wear a needle box at waist height - which was typical for women's clothing in the Viking Age.
Please note: Only the medieval staff necklace is sold. Accessories shown or mentioned are not included - but can be purchased separately in our store.
