In the years 700 to 1000 AD, oval brooches were an essential part of women's wardrobes among the Vikings. These brooches were often connected to one or more chains attached to narrow bar chain distributors or wide distributor plates. Jewelry hooks, some omega-shaped, others S-shaped, were also used for attachment.

This jewelry hook bronze extra small is good for connecting the ends of a Viking chain or attaching a brooch chain to a brooch. The S-hook can also be attached to chain distributors (for brooch chains with multiple chains).
