Late medieval two-handed sword SK-C - battleready!
This specimen is a very nice reconstruction of a late medieval two-handed sword. This type of swords became popular in the 14th century, also bore the designations bastard sword or simply long Sword.
This reconstruction was specially handcrafted. Steel is used for both the forward-curved guard and the twisted guard ring. The handle, made of wood, has been artfully carved. The torsion pattern is on both the handle and the iron pommel.
The hardened spring steel blade (48-50 HRC) extends continuously to the pommel and is hand riveted to it. The blade has a diamond-shaped cross-section.
