Ring collar of the 15th century made of 1.2 mm (0.047 inches) thick steel.
The ring collar or armoured collar is used as a connecting piece between the torso and the head piece and developed in the late Middle Ages from the helmet beard.
It was made of 1.2 mm (0.047 inches) thick steel in two parts. Both parts were fastened together by means of leather straps including a buckle and can be individually adjusted.
