Natural-coloured medieval wimple

The wimple is an authentic medieval headscarf. It is modelled on those worn in the High and Late Middle Ages (late 12th to early 14th century) and is draped over the head, with the fabric covering the neck, cheeks and chin. It is the classic headpiece for anyone wishing to portray a nun, a modest townswoman or a travelling noblewoman.

Measuring 75x45 cm, the wimple offers plenty of fabric to frame the face and cover the neck and décolletage, without being heavy or difficult to tie. The material used is 100% cotton muslin – an incredibly light and breathable fabric that can be worn close to the face and neck without becoming uncomfortable. This is a particular advantage on long, warm event days.
