"Malric" sleeveless tunic with hood – grey with a crinkle effect

The Malric tunic is a sleeveless wrap in the style of a classic surcoat – that medieval garment traditionally worn over other garments and widely popular from the 12th to the 15th century. Here, this historical cut has been reinterpreted for modern LARP and medieval market use: lightweight, flexible and with an aesthetic that embodies characters steeped in history.

The fabric is 100% cotton with a crinkle effect – a special washing process gives the fabric a subtly crinkled surface reminiscent of well-worn, well-travelled clothing. The result is an authentic worn look achieved with no effort at all. The fabric feels comfortable against the skin, is breathable and is suitable for extended wear at events and conventions. The integrated hood lends the garment a mysterious silhouette – ideal for ranger, archer, or assassin characters. Side pockets provide practical storage, whilst slits at the front and back improve the drape and freedom of movement when walking and fighting.

Malric is excellent for layered looks: worn over a shirt or a simple tunic, tied with a belt, it creates an atmospheric medieval or fantasy outfit. The piece also works well on its own – the cut and the fabric speak for themselves. The tunic is part of the ‘Drunter und Drüber’ collection, designed for characters who operate in secret.
