Late medieval decoration sword Shrewsbury 15th century incl. scabbard
Manufactured according to historical models. The model is from the Battle of Shrewsbury. The double-edged blade is forged from hardened, heat-treated spring steel EN45. It has a diamond-shaped cross section, tapers gently towards the pointed point and is fluted on both sides. The wide groove runs centrally over about half the blade length. The cutting edges are not sharpened and the continuous blade tang is riveted to the end of the handle. The hilt consists of a handle with a wooden core and brown leather winding, a six-facetted steel plug pommel and a flattened parry bar, also made of steel. The ends of the parryer are widened and each decorated with a cut-out cross. The quillon is about 23 cm (9.1 in) long and 0.5 cm (0.2 in) thick. The late medieval one-and-a-half hander is delivered with a brown wooden/leather scabbard with steel mouthpiece and gable plate.

General information on the legal guarantee for swords
Like all other goods, our stage combat weapons are covered by the legal guarantee of at least two years. For consumers: if a defect (e.g. a material defect) becomes apparent within the period set by law – at least one year after delivery – it is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery. If a defect only becomes apparent later, it must be proven that it already existed at the time of delivery. By its very nature, a stage combat sword is subject to wear and tear. Even the best and most expensive stage combat sword will become notched after heavy use, and the cross-guard may become wobbly and the grip loose. This is normal, as strong forces act on the material. In rare cases a blade may even break if it has already been weakened by many deep notches. Such signs of wear resulting from use are generally not a defect. A used stage combat sword will show signs of use.
