Leather straps – vegetable-tanned
These high-quality leather straps are ideal for belts, bag straps, and other sturdy leatherwork.
As the straps are cut by hand, the width may vary slightly with a tolerance of approx. 1 mm (0.04 in). Made from the so-called pike piece, the straps run lengthwise to the leather grain. This ensures high stability and resistance. Although the length may vary slightly, each strap measures at least the specified length. Straps with a width of approx. 15 mm (0.59 in) have a thickness of approx. 2.5–3 mm (0.1–0.12 in), while all wider straps are approx. 3.5–4 mm (0.14–0.16 in) thick.
As all leather straps are delivered ungreased, we recommend applying leather grease before processing and for regular care. This keeps the leather supple and protects it from cracks.
