Giulia Shift – The perfect slip for historical costumes

The Giulia shift from the Yoremade collection is the ideal first layer for any historical costume. As an underdress, it is worn directly against the skin and serves as a protective layer between the body and the outer, coarser garments. Historically, such petticoats were used to protect expensive outer garments from body oils and to ensure comfort – a principle that has lost none of its practicality to this day.

Material and workmanship

Made from 100% cotton crepe, the Giulia shift impresses with its natural breathability, light weight and pleasantly soft feel. The crepe fabric gives the garment an authentically textured look that perfectly matches its historical inspiration. The garment already has a soft, worn look – ideal for long market days, LARP events or medieval festivals, even in the summer heat.
