Viking Seax knife Gotland with leather scabbard brass studded

This beautiful seax was made according to an early medieval model. The multi-layered handle made of bone, wood and brass is based on a seax find from Slite in Gotland.

It is an early medieval multi-purpose tool which resembles today's machete.

The brown colored leather scabbard is richly studded with brass, which provides both protection from damage and serves a decorative function.
