This violin of shame from the Middle Ages was used to bind wrists and necks, with hand-forged iron fittings, not stainless.

Description

This shame violin was used to fetter from wrist and neck in mediaeval times, hence the name as shrew´s fiddle, shame collar etc. It consists of wood, can be unscrew on the front side and through a hinge on the back side can be tilt up the two wood parts.

The neck will place in the big hole and the wrists in the two small holes. The affixed, hand-forged iron mountings aren`t stainless!
