Decorative axe in Viking style with Aegishjalmur decoration

A touch of the Vikings, a bit of myth and a lot of elegance - all combined in this Viking axe! The blade of this medieval axe is decorated with a knot pattern and an Aegishjalmur. The symbol of the Aegishjalmur comes from Norse mythology and is a symbol of protection. It is known as the “helmet of reverence”, which was drawn on the warrior's forehead to protect him and scare the enemy.

The wooden handle of our Viking axe Aegishjalmur has been treated with fire to make it even more powerful. Knot patterns, which are often associated with the Vikings, have also been burned into the handle. A matching leather sheath is included, which rounds off the overall look and makes for attractive storage. Well stowed away, the medieval axe can be attached to a belt through the opening on the back of the leather sheath.
