GRP/PU Bow 26 lbs – Durable LARP bow for medieval re-enactment

This bow from IDV Engineering is specially designed for use at LARP events, medieval re-enactments and in adverse weather conditions. Its construction is very straightforward: a fibreglass (GFK) core is encased in a layer of semi-rigid, highly durable polyurethane foam. This results in a combination of flexibility and durability that performs impressively in the field.

What makes this bow particularly suitable for the LARP hobby is its robustness against typical everyday stresses. Dry firing, knocks, blows, rain or direct sunlight – the bow takes it all in its stride. It can even be bent over 180° without breaking. This makes it one of the few bows where you don’t have to worry about accidental mishaps in the heat of battle. The draw weight of 26 lbs at a 28" draw length is sufficient for play and permitted in many LARP rulebooks. The bow length of 1400 mm corresponds to a classic longbow format, which is impressive both visually and ergonomically.
