Viking long sax with leather handle, incl. scabbard

This Viking Age Sax knife (Skramasax) is made with a long blade of EN45 spring steel and has a strong back, pointed point and double fuller, but it does not have a sharpened edge. The continuous blade tang is riveted to the pommel. The hilt of this early medieval knife consists of short oval shaped quillons, a pommel in late medieval Viking style and a handle with wooden core wrapped with brown leather. The quillons and pommel are cast in steel and blued for a rustic touch.

The Viking longax is accompanied by a brown vegetable tanned leather scabbard with intricate braided stitching. It also features two belt loops, which allows you to wear the long sax in Viking fashion - horizontally at the waist.

This Viking sax is designed as a decorative piece, collectible or prop, for example, to complete a costume. Please note that it is not suitable for show combat.
