This Viking Age knife with a sharp blade of 256-layer damascus steel is inspired by finds from Björkö/Birka (grave 944) in Sweden. Damascus steel is an artful fusion of soft and hard iron, resulting in a high degree of hardness. When properly machined, the blades maintain a good sharpness. The wood and bone handle has an oval cross-section to ensure a good grip in the hand. The handle cap is made of brass and is equipped with a catch strap eyelet, which has a leather strap. In addition, the bone part features intricate details from the period.

Since these knives are handmade, the embellishments may have slight variations. Also, bone is a natural product and the color and/or grain will vary from piece to piece - making each piece individual. The above pictures are for illustrative purposes only.

Made of vegetable-tanned, hand-dyed leather and adorned with stylish brass fittings, this scabbard is a beautiful accessory for a Viking look. With the three leather loops attached to brass rings, you can carry the knife horizontally on your belt, just like the Vikings did. The stylized details are also based on finds from Birka.

This Viking longax is sharp and fully functional, which makes it a collector's item or a decorative object. However, it should not be used for show fighting.
