Celtic short sword, 3rd - 2nd century BC.

The hilt depicts a human, which was very rare for the Celtic period in Europe. So far, only very few specimens with human figures have been found from Celtic Europe. It is assumed that such swords could have been ceremonial weapons, reserved exclusively for warriors of higher rank.

The blade was made of spring steel (EN45). The handle is made of brass and bone, while the guard is made of copper.
